Longing

Wall plaques represent a unique and wonderful departure from my traditional work. I created richly textured panels followed by a bunch of pegs, shards and disks. After a couple of days of firings, I spread everything out on the worktable and composed a series of fun ceramic collages. This piece features raku smoked panels, a blue luster disk and a white crackle disk that are mounted on a reclaimed antique slate roofing tile.
