Lightning Vase

Simple yet elegant and dramatic, the lightning bolt patterned raku vase has long been a joy to create. The smoky gray textured bolt contrasts beautifully with the white crackle glaze. Clean lines and precisely smooth surfaces contribute to the timeless quality of these pieces. And every now and then, they will get a little patch of crackles just below the rim, a memento from the moment of their creation when cold tongs first made contact with molten glaze.
