Gas Reduction Fired Pink Blush Tripod Vase

As an adjunct at a local university, I get the opportunity to try new things as I teach. Some of my demonstration pieces are just too nice to wad up and recycle. This is what happens when my texture projects meet my handbuilding projects. The gas reduction firing process can yield unexpected and occasionally pleasing results. The day I saw this piece was a good day to be a ceramic artist.
