Embossed Cylindrical Vase

It”s like staring at the sun. This dazzling vase features a particularly bright reduced copper glaze that was obtained through the rare combination of both kiln and subsequent pit reduction processes. The bright glaze is contrasted by the addition of a strip of unglazed embossments produced by pressing one of my hand-carved mini presses into the vase while it was still soft.
